🔵 Rangers are facing elimination from the UEFA Europa League following their 2-1 away defeat at Ferencvaros. Bojan Miovski had opened the scoring for Rangers in the first half.
Manager Danny Rohl said: “Honestly, I’m very angry about our conceded goals. This is the disappointment for me. We played a solid first half, go in the lead - exactly what you want. Go in with a lead, and they have to open more and more. Then the first conceded goal.
“Second half, we missed so many transition moments, and the second goal is too easy.

🎟️ Scotland’s ticket allocations for the World Cup have been confirmed.
While FIFA stated that they wouldn’t introduce dynamic ticket pricing to the participating nations’ ticket sales, they have opted for a varied price structure based on the perceived status of the game.
The FIFA Random Selection ticket phase opened yesterday. The results of this draw will be announced no earlier than February 5.

🔴 Hamilton Academical released a statement following the Scottish FA’s decision to reject the club’s appeal against the decision to determine that director Gerry Strain is not a ‘fit and proper person’ to run the club.
Their statement says: “The Club believes the SFA’s stance effectively forces Hamilton Academical Football Club toward costly and protracted legal proceedings, rather than exploring a more pragmatic and collaborative solution. At a time when the Club is working tirelessly to stabilise its finances and protect its future, this approach feels disproportionate and unhelpful.” - Hamilton Academical website

🏆 It is, of course, the Premier Sports Cup Final this weekend. St Mirren are looking to win the trophy for only the second time in their history, having last won it in 2013. They have been runners-up twice, in the 2009/10 final to Rangers, and back in the 1955/56 season to Aberdeen.
Celtic have won seven of the last nine League Cup Finals and have won the last eight League Cup Finals they have played in. Their last defeat in the final was to Kilmarnock in the 2011/12 season.
