🏴 Oli McBurnie revealed he had called Steve Clarke ahead of his latest Scotland squad announcement to get an idea of where he stands in the pecking order.
“I don’t really sit anywhere,” he told Hull Live. “I rang the manager when his last squad was getting announced, just to kind of see his feelings on things. He said to me that he builds his squads on loyalty, and that Che (Adams) and Dikesy (Dikes) have done really well for him, so he sees them two ahead of me.
“He doesn’t see me as a third or fourth-choice striker, so he’s comparing me against Che and Dikesy, and he sees them ahead of me.” - Barry Cooper, Hull Live
⛔️ St Johnstone defender Jack Baird has received a two-match ban after elbowing Aidan Fitzpatrick in last month’s Championship match against Partick Thistle. - Sean Hamilton, The Courier

😬 Scotland Women’s Under-19s narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Under-19 European Championships after falling to a 2-1 defeat to Norway yesterday. A point would have been enough to see them qualify. Austria qualified as a result of beating Norway 2-0. Scotland had beaten the Austrians 2-1.
😬 A reminder that it is the final weekend of the Park’s Motor Group Lowland League. Here are the permutations you need to know:
If Linlithgow Rose beat Bonnyrigg Rose or match Clydebank’s result, they win the title.
Unless Clydebank lose and Bonnyrigg beat Linlithgow by six goals. This would hand the title to Bonnyrigg.
Clydebank will win the title if they beat Caledonian Braves and Linlithgow Rose drop points to Bonnyrigg. - view the Lowland League Table here

Interesting from McBurnie "Steve Clark says he builds his squads on loyalty". Sums Clark up. I'm not a fan.
