THE WEEKEND ROUND UP
➡️ SPFL Premiership
Dundee United finished fourth after beating Aberdeen 2-1 at Tannadice. At one point, St Mirren looked like they might sneak into Europe when they were leading at Celtic Park and Dundee United were behind. However, it wasn’t to be for the Paisley side. Their match ended 1-1 with Celtic. Ross County will be in the relegation play-off for the third year in a row. They drew 1-1 at home to Motherwell and Dundee beat St Johnstone 2-0. Liam Fox signed off his interim period in charge with a 1-0 away win at Kilmarnock. Rangers and Hibs drew 2-2 at Easter Road. - View the final Premiership table here
➡️ SPFL Play-Offs
Livingston will face Ross County in the Premiership Play-Off after beating Partick Thistle 2-0 on Friday night for a 4-0 aggregate win.
Airdrieonians will be in the Championship again next season after drawing 0-0 with Cove Rangers on Saturday. Their 2-1 away win midweek was enough to see them win the play-off.
East Fife will take Annan Athletic’s spot in League One after winning the League One Play-Offs. The Methil side won 4-3 on aggregate after their 1-1 draw at Galabank. It is manager Dick Campbell’s seventh promotion of his managerial career.
East Kilbride will be an SPFL team next season. Their 0-0 draw away to Bonnyrigg Rose was enough after their 3-1 first-leg win last weekend.
➡️ SWPL
Congratulations to Hibernian Women who won the SWPL. Their first top division title since 2007. They won 1-0 at Ibrox. Glasgow City leapfrogged Rangers into the second Champions League spot with a 2-0 win against Hearts. Celtic Women finished fourth after a 6-0 win at Motherwell. The Spartans were relegated alongside Queen’s Park and Dundee United. - view the final SWPL table
