THE WEEKEND ROUND UP
➡️ SPFL Premiership
There were plenty of goals on Saturday. Aberdeen beat Motherwell 4-1 after going a goal down. Celtic beat Hearts 3-0. Rangers beat Dundee 4-3 in the game of the weekend. Kilmarnock fans will have been thankful for the added-time Dessers’ winner at Dens after losing 5-1 away to St Mirren. Hibernian beat St Johnstone 3-0 to stay in third.

It wasn’t a dream start for Neil Lennon or Victor Wanyama at Dunfermline. Ayr United beat the Pars 3-0. Wanyama was sent off after coming on as a second-half sub. Partick Thistle increased their play-off chances with a 1-0 win to Greenock Morton. Morton dropped to fifth after Raith Rovers won 3-0 at Hamilton. - View the Championship table here

The title looks set to be Arbroath’s after they beat rivals Cove Rangers 1-0 and Stenhousemuir lost 3-2 at home to Montrose. The Red Lichties are eight points clear with five games to go. Annan went level on points with Inverness following their 2-1 home win over Kelty Hearts. Inverness lost 4-1 away to Queen of the South. Queen’s win moved them into fourth ahead of Alloa Athletic, who lost 3-2 at home to relegated Dumbarton. - View the League One table here

East Fife returned to the top of League Two with a 4-2 win over The Spartans. Peterhead could only draw 0-0 away to Forfar Athletic. That point for Forfar has given them a three-point gap over bottom-of-the-table Bonnyrigg Rose. They lost 1-0 at home to Elgin. Stirling Albion won 2-1 at home to Edinburgh City and Clyde won by the same score line away to Stranraer. - View the League Two table here

Glasgow City recorded an important victory against Celtic Women on Friday night. Their 2-1 win kept them within three points of Hibernian Women who beat Motherwell 3-0 away. Rangers remain two points behind after their 4-0 win over Hearts. Celtic are now nine points behind in fourth. - View the SWPL table here

🏆 Livingston won the SPFL Trust Trophy for the second time beating Queen’s Park 5-0 at the Falkirk Stadium.
🏆 East Kilbride won the Lowland League Cup at Broadwood yesterday. They beat Bo’ness United 3-1. It was the third time EK had beaten Bo’ness in the final in four years.
🔝 Both Brora Rangers and Brechin City won at the weekend. Brora remain top of the Breedon Highland League on goal difference with two games to go. Brechin face Nairn County next weekend while Brora are at home to Huntly. - view the Highland League table here
✍️ Declan John signed a two-year contract extension with St Mirren. He celebrated signing the new contract with a goal in St Mirren’s 5-1 win over Kilmarnock. - St Mirren website
