🆕 Hearts Women and Rangers Women both progressed to the final of their UEFA Women’s Champions League Second Qualifying Round Mini-Tournaments.
Hearts beat Lithuanian side Gintra 2-1 to set up the final against Danish club Koge. The winner will progress to the third qualifying round. The loser will drop into the Women’s Europa Cup qualifying.
Rangers needed extra time to beat Slavia Praha at Broadwood. Leanne Crichton’s side will now face Ajax in the final of their mini second-qualifying-round tournament.
⚽ In the Breedon Highland League last night, Brora Rangers recorded their biggest ever derby win over nearby Wick Academy. Last season’s champions won 8-0 to maintain their 100% record. Lossiemouth and Buckie Thistle also made it three wins out of three at the start of the campaign. Lossie beat Rothes 4-1, while Buckie beat Strathspey Thistle 2-0.
