🏆 There is a new format and name for the Challenge Cup next season.
KDM Group will be the new title sponsor as the format changes to a model similar to the UEFA Champions League.
The KDM Evolution Trophy, as it will now be known, will see League One and League Two sides joined by 10 Premiership B teams in the league phase. Each team will play six games, with the top 22 teams progressing to the knock-out rounds, where they will be joined by the Championship sides.
The winner will get a record £150,000 in prize money. - SPFL website
😬 Greenock Morton are experiencing a boardroom battle, which is sparking major concerns about the future relationship with their current main sponsor, Dalrada Technology.
The club, fan-owned by Morton Club Together (MCT), the majority shareholder, has formally asked two of its three representatives on the football club’s board, Sam Robinson and Graham Barr, to step down as club directors.

🫡 Denis Law will be honoured with a commemorative plaque in the area where he grew up in Aberdeen.
The criteria for this sort of plaque in the city is usually that the person needs to have been dead for at least 20 years and born over 100 years ago. 🏟️ East of Scotland Second Division club Dalkeith Thistle are experiencing repeated vandalism at their King’s Park home.
