🏆 The SPFL has invited Highland League and Lowland League clubs to apply for ‘wild card’ entry to next season’s Premier Sports Cup and KDM Evolution Trophy.
A total of three clubs from the Highland League and Lowland League will take part in next year’s Premier Sports Cup, which is expected to use the same format as 2025/26.
Final numbers of participants from across both leagues for the KDM Evolution Trophy will be confirmed when the format for next season’s competition is finalised.
The ‘non-exhaustive’ list of criteria that will be considered by the SPFL board that was not outlined in the announcement is:
Sporting merit
History of league membership and heritage
Bronze licence status
Attendances, both home and away
Community activity
