🔎 The SPFL Competitions Working Group is exploring options to ease fixture congestion due to the expansion of European club competitions.
The belief is the SPFL, would prefer a return to 10 teams however, sticking with 12 or moving to 14 or 16 teams is also up for consideration.
The group, which met yesterday, has also been asked to consider any changes to help provide a "softer landing" for clubs like Brechin City and Albion Rovers when they leave the SPFL. - Stephen McGowan, The Herald
🇪🇺 The SPFL Board has approved a new policy that will allow Premiership clubs to postpone their matchday three fixture on the weekend of 23/24 August to enhance preparations for UEFA Play-Off round qualifiers. - SPFL website

🟢 More than 20 legal claims of historical abuse at Celtic Boys Club have been settled for a seven-figure sum.
70% of all cases have been settled by Celtic and their solicitors and the remaining cases are expected to reach settlements in the coming weeks.
Survivors in the case were said to be “very angry” about how long it had taken to conclude.
In a statement, Celtic said: "Celtic Football Club is appalled by any form of historic abuse and has great sympathy for those who suffered abuse and for their families.
"The club is very sorry that these events took place at Celtic Boys' Club. The club takes this abuse extremely seriously because of the historic contacts between the two organisations." - Mark Daly, BBC
