🤝 Scotland Women’s National Team beat China 3-2 in a friendly in Spain last night.
Scotland raced into a 3-0 lead after just 15 minutes thanks to two goals from Crystal Palace’s Kirsty Howat and a goal from Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson.
China, who are ranked nine places above Scotland, scored twice to make it a nervy end, but Melissa Andreatta’s side held on to pick up only their second win out of the last 12 games.

🥈 Scotland Women’s Under-19s finished second in their round one qualifying group after beating Croatia 4-1.
Laura Berry scored twice, with Izzy Young and Olivia Chomczuk also on the scoresheet.
The young Scotland side will go into the Spring’s second round of qualifying in League A, giving themselves the chance to make the European Championships in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
🏟️ The Scottish FA is exploring options to purchase Lesser Hampden from Queen’s Park and turn it into a hub to help accelerate the growth of the women’s game.
The plan would include increasing the capacity, installing a 4G playing surface, and making it the home of Glasgow City, Celtic Women, and Rangers Women.

🟢 Celtic have extended the Green Brigade’s ban due to “safety incidents“ which include threats to the club’s head of safety and security operations.
In a statement released yesterday, the club said the ban will be ongoing until they are “satisfied that the Green Brigade will engage in the safe operation of the stadium, which is critical for the continued operation of the entire rail seating section.” - BBC

🎟️ UEFA has announced that more than 40% of tickets at UEFA EURO 2028 in the UK and Ireland will be in the most affordable categories. They have also committed to giving each country 10,000 tickets per game as they did at EURO 2024.
In a conveniently timed announcement, given the backlash against FIFA’s ticketing antics for the World Cup next year, they have also confirmed that tickets can only be resold at face value on their resale platform, with no fees for the seller. - UEFA website

Just seems weird that Celtic and Rangers' women's teams would not play the home of each of those clubs even if I generally like the idea of having a women's hub (which would include Glasgow City playing at Lesser Hampden)...
