This week a quick, fun and non-serious Valentine’s Day special.
Safe travels to all those heading to a game this weekend.
LOVE
There is only one player in the history of the Scotland National Men’s Team to have won a senior cap with the surname Love. Aberdeen’s Andy Love won three caps in 1931.
Of course, for the women’s team, Jo Love amassed a staggering 189 caps for Scotland. Only Gemma Fay (203) won more.
There was hope that Donald Love might have been the solution to Scotland’s right back quandary for a very brief period.
Sir Alex Ferguson gave Love his Manchester United debut in 2015; at the same time, he started playing for the Scotland Under-21s. In 2016, Love signed for Sunderland for £5.5m. Unfortunately, he never kicked on to maintain playing at the highest level. As a 31-year-old, he is now plying his trade with EFL League Two club Accrington Stanley.
