LIVINGSTON FC - CIS CUP WINNERS 2004

Livingston won the 2004 Scottish League Cup Final, beating Hibernian 2-0 in the final at Hampden.

Derek Lilley and Jamie McAllister scored in quick succession at the start of the second half to give Livi their first major trophy win, but what happened to that winning squad?

1️⃣8️⃣ RODDY MCKENZIE

Goalkeeper McKenzie played for Livingston for two more years before accepting a contract from Dunfermline Athletic. In January 2008, McKenzie was released from his contract after sustaining a bad injury to his back.

He would return to Livi, where he would make over 50 appearances before signing for Queen of the South in 2010. Injuries limited his playing time, and he was released, ultimately ending his career in 2012.

2️⃣ DAVID MCNAMEE

After winning the League Cup, McNamee won two Scotland caps under Berti Vogts at the end of the same season.

He moved to Coventry City for £100,000 in 2006, but he was blighted by injury and moved to Plymouth. He returned north in 2010 to play for Aberdeen and then sign for Ross County. He finished his playing career at English non-league club Leamington after a stint at Nuneaton Town. In total, McNamee won four Scotland caps and, after his playing career finished, joined the Royal Navy.
